We have recently read a book called Shelter by Harlan Coben. Frist off, the book was extremely creepy. There is this wacky Bat Lady who has to be at least a thousand years old. Even weirder, she has interacted with both the main character and his dead father. In the beginning of the book, the main character, Mickey, is introduced to a new school after the death of his father. This book is a thriller and has you on the edge of your seat the whole time. The author does an interesting job of foreshadowing the ending throughout the entire book, as well as using a butterfly as a powerful symbol. The development of the main character illuminates how life events can mature a person. We would recommend this book if you’re looking for a page turner.
